Incoming Stud Dogs...
Occasionally, we will accept assignment to stand stud dogs at our home. First of all, we will not accept any stud dog, he must be one of quality; conformationally, mentally, and genetically. Upon initial agreement that we will accept a stud dog, the following steps will be necessary;
The stud dog should be up-to-date on vaccinations 30 days prior to shipping him to us.
Heartworm negative blood test within 30 days, can be done while brucellosis test is being performed.
The stud dog should be have K9 Advantix or other similiar treatment 14 days prior to shipping him to us.
The stud dog should have a thorough dental exam and cleaning no earlier than one year before coming to us, and no later than 30 days prior to coming to us.
The stud dog needs a clean fecal culture no older than 10 days old prior to his arrival at Armitage.
Current brucellosis test needs to accompany the stud dog, along with copies of all his genetic testing and pedigree for distribution.
If the stud dog stays with us for six months or longer, we will return the stud dog with the following (per consent of the owner); vaccinations that are due, K9 Advantix application, dental exam (and cleaning if necessary), current fecal culture, and updated brucellosis test. Besides this, the owner of record will receive copy of stud service agreements within 30 days after the breedings take place, and owner's portion of the fees will be forwarded as agreed upon.
If a stud dog arrives in questionable condition, he will not be accepted.
Incoming Bitches...
We expect incoming bitches to be clean and parasite free. Before a bitch may stay at our home, she will be inspected for signs of parasites; if there is any indication of parasites we will need to keep her in a quarantine area away from our dogs, and she will be treated at the owner's expense. Same is if she arrives dirty - she will be bathed/groomed at the owner's expense. If there becomes a history of bringing unkept bitches to us for breeding, we will have to refuse bitches from those breeders.
